Name What Is Yours to Decide

Whena new update affects your plans

Write one decision affected by the update. Label it ‘mine’, ‘shared’ or ‘someone else decides’. Add one next step that fits that label: decide, ask to discuss, or wait for the person responsible.

Why it works

Some decisions are yours, some need agreement and some have a different owner. Mark the owner before you spend effort trying to move the wrong piece.

Start tiny

Write one decision and label its owner.

What you’ll notice

You can see whether the next move is yours, a conversation or a request for information.

When it slips

If ownership is unclear, mark it ‘unknown’ and write one safe question to ask. Shared decisions still need the other person's agreement.
