Move through a side lunge

Whenyou finish warming up for lower-body practice

From standing, step to one side. Bend that knee and send hips back while the other leg stays long; keep both heels down. Push back to centre. Start with five slow lunges per side, using a comfortable step width.

Make it easier
Take a shorter step, stay higher and hold a fixed counter.
Progression
Explore more depth only while you can push back with control.

Start tiny

One shallow lunge per side.

SafetyKeep knee following the foot. Stop for pain; avoid sliding on a slick floor.
