Repair a friendship rupture

Whenyou recognize that your action hurt a friend

When calm, ask if they are open to talking. Name what you did, acknowledge the hurt and apologize without excuses. Offer a concrete repair, listen, then follow through.

Try saying
I cancelled at the last minute twice. I’m sorry. I’ll only offer dates I can keep; what would help now?

Start tiny

Draft one sentence owning your action.

SafetyDo not demand forgiveness or contact. Respect a closed boundary; do not pursue an unsafe relationship.
