Challenge

Eat lunch without screens for 20 minutes

Whenyour chosen weekly lunch break starts

Once this week, put your phone out of reach and eat lunch away from the computer for twenty minutes. Choose an ordinary seat; this is an attention challenge, not a standing endurance test.

Why it works

The challenge is leaving the screen available but unused. Twenty minutes is an editorial experiment, not a proven medical dose.

Start tiny

Put the phone away for the first minute of lunch.

What you’ll notice

One lunch happens without a feed running alongside it.

When it slips

A work message pulls you back; choose a break when you can be unavailable and make that boundary clear.

SafetyKeep any device needed for accessibility, care or emergencies available.

Challenge: A bounded mission with a clear finish. It can combine practices over days or weeks.

From the screen to the fridge

Put the card where the habit happens.

Every deck is free to download and print at home, then pin up: on the fridge, the mirror, beside the monitor. Or get the printed edition, ready to pin up the day it arrives.
