Summarize the uneventful stretch

Whena scene drags between changes

Find time the reader needs to cross, without a meaningful turn. Summarize it: “For three weeks, the shop opened late and closed early.” Keep one detail if it matters. Reread the scenes on either side; restore anything needed to understand the next change.

Start tiny

Compress one routine sequence into a sentence.
