Test a claim against a counterexample

Whenyour argument sounds too neat

Choose a claim your piece makes. Find a real case it does not explain, or label a hypothetical case as invented. Revise the claim’s limits: “Remote work is better” might become “Remote work helps me focus when I have a quiet room.” Reread: is it still worth saying and now more accurate?

Write one case that would challenge your claim.
