What was studied

How we read the record.

Fourteen primary texts underpin twenty grade-C cards. Clear reports limited tracking, keeping his phone elsewhere and annual reviews. Other records establish methods he teaches. Card cues, times, tiny starts, weekly review, notification editing, benefit noticing and supportive check-ins are editorial adaptations. Habit stacking credits BJ Fogg; room resetting credits Oswald Nuckols. No independent efficacy review was conducted and no card is presented as Clear’s exact routine.

The rules we held to

Every card traces to something recorded in the sources, not a quote from the internet.

The original method and our modern translation are kept apart on every card.

0 of 20 cards are documented in the primary record. Each card also carries a separate evidence grade for whether the method works today.

Independent editorial adaptations. HabitSets is not affiliated with or endorsed by James Clear, Atomic Habits or their publishers.
