Reattach a loose book page

Whenone page detaches from a book

For a sound ordinary book, use bookbinding PVA, a small brush and scrap paper. Check the loose page’s order and alignment before applying glue.

Steps
  1. Mask the page with scrap paper, exposing only about 3 mm of its inner margin. Brush on a thin line of PVA; remove scraps.
  2. Set that edge into the correct inner fold, aligning page top and bottom. Close the book and leave at least an hour to dry.

Start tiny

Dry-fit the page in its correct place.

SafetyNot valuable, brittle or coated books. Stop if many pages or the binding are loose.
