Sketch one place each week

Whenyou stop for your chosen weekly sketch

From a safe fixed seat, choose a window view or room corner. Draw a small frame, its largest shapes and one foreground overlap. Keep looking back. Add one telling detail, compare one gap or edge with the view, and carry a correction into next week.

Make it easier
Frame one doorway or window with just two surrounding shapes.
Make it harder
Include a foreground shape and two more distant layers.
Progression
Keep the same scope until you can fit the chosen view on the page; then widen the crop.

Start tiny

From your seat, draw one large shape for one minute.

SafetyStop before drawing. Use a permitted safe seat, clear of traffic and entrances; a view from home counts.
