Choose a manageable frame before drawing

Whena scene has too much to include

Before your place sketch, draw two small rectangles. In each, block the largest shapes: one wider view and one closer crop. Choose the crop whose main feature and surrounding space you can draw in your session. Mark its boundaries, then continue the drawing.

Start tiny

Mark one frame around a single feature.

When it slips

Still too much? Keep one main feature and one neighbouring shape; leave tiny details out.
