Check an object’s proportions

Whenone object looks too tall or wide

In your still life, compare an object’s height with its width from the same seat. Hold a pencil flat to your view at a fixed arm length; use your thumb to mark one span, then turn it to compare the other. Adjust one drawn edge. Compare by eye if raising your arm is uncomfortable.

Mark whether the object is taller or wider.
