Glue a clean decorative wood break

Whena small wooden ornament breaks

For an indoor wooden ornament whose pieces fit cleanly, use wood glue labelled for that wood and a suitable clamp. Dry-fit the pieces first.

Steps
  1. Remove loose dust; surfaces must be clean, dry and free of old glue. If preparation needs solvents or stripping, stop.
  2. Apply glue as labelled, join and clamp without crushing. Wipe squeeze-out as the label directs.
  3. Leave undisturbed for the full labelled clamp and cure times before gentle handling.

Start tiny

Fit the broken pieces together without glue.

SafetyNo load-bearing, food-contact, electrical or children’s items. Follow label ventilation and skin/eye precautions; stop if pieces will not fit.
