Condition a dry leather bag
Whena smooth leather bag feels dry
Check that the bag maker permits conditioner on this leather. Use its recommended product, a clean soft cloth and a small hidden test area.
- Steps
- Remove loose dirt as the maker directs; let the bag dry.
- Apply a little conditioner to the hidden area. Wait at least an hour, or the label’s longer time; check for colour change.
- If acceptable, apply sparingly in gentle circles, following the product’s drying and buffing directions.

Identify the leather finish before choosing a product.
